Robin and Jason

It is still hard to believe that my niece Robin
is not coming back to us in this life.
It just feels like,
'Okay, enough of this, you've been gone long enough, now come back.'
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.

11 years ago today she and Jason were married in the Oakland temple. I remember that day well. They both looked so happy, so in love, with such a bright future ahead of them. But as is sometimes the case, our plans are not Heavenly Father's plans.

My son Brock put together some clips of that special day 11 years ago,
from their original wedding video. I had never thought much about the song Robin and Jason chose that you will hear when this video first plays. Now it seems so fitting.

We're back! It bonked at me again, but when I tried the second time, up came the screen!

We LOVED this video. Isn't she just so vibrant? What a spirit she has. I'm sure it is still as vibrant where she is now.

Thank you Jill for your thoughtful, meaningful, and creative posts. You (and your assistant son) really do a great job.

Love, Dad and Susan

OK....I can barely see what I am typing. That was beautiful and the music made it even more beautiful! I didn't know her, just knew about her from all of the wonderful things you have said about her. She looks so angelistic, because she is.
I loved it!

Jill, thank you so much for posting this. I definitely have a crying hangover, but it was a nice way to remember Robin and what a special time that was for her. Thanks again.

I am glad I am at work and can't see the video right now or I am sure I would be crying my eyes out and the kids would look at me funny. I will watch it when I get home and tell you what I thought. I love Robin and everyone in her family. You guys are awesome people.

Ohhhhh. That gave me a good cry to start the day out. Not that I don't cry all day anyway, these days! It is hard, isn't it? Sometimes you forget, and just think they are on a trip or something......

I never had the privilege of knowing them, but your video had me all choked up. Such a beautiful couple and you can see sooo clearly how deeply they love. Beautiful work Brock. He is amazing - Brock is. I want to hire him to do some things for me if he will. That was very moving Jill. Thanks.

If I had known what your blog was about today I would have put my eyemakeup on after reading it. Clearly, Robin was a very bright light and she will be missed by so many. What a touching video. Kathy

What a very sweet post this is today. This video clip with the music was wonderful. Brock and you did a fantastic job! I've said it before but isn't modern day technology wonderful to be able to provide 'instant replays' of the special occasions in one's life!

Just so there won't be any misunderstanding, Brock didn't make the original video. He just took parts of it and made a smaller one to put on my blog. The first song you hear was on the original video, and then Brock added some music that you hear while watching parts of the reception at Robin's house...or rather the house she grew up in.
