What Dennis did on Saturday

He sat there from about noon on Saturday till the sun went down, just wrapping gifts. Den knows I do not like wrapping gifts so being the sweetheart he is, he does most all of them.

When my boys were young, I would give one son the gifts of his brothers to wrap. Then I would take the wrapper boy's gifts and talk another brother into wrapping his gifts.
Make sense?
Probably not, but it worked for me.

I love decorating the tree and the house, and the baking, and the Christmas cards. I'm also in charge of all the music around here.
But gift wrapping?
No, I delegate. :)
Happy wrapping at your house.

That's my awesome Dad! Oh, I love that guy! ;)

And like you Jill, gift-wrapping is not my favorite thing to do. I loved it when gift bags became popular! :)

I hear you Kim but your dad does not believe in gift bags. He's very old fashioned and traditional. :)

You are a blessed woman to have a man to wrap all the gifts. I am blessed to have a man. Love, Susan

Wow! I haven't wrapped anything yet, I wonder if I can talk Richard into doing the wrapping. Probably not, since he already feels like a hero doing the laundry. Kathy

You are too funny Kathy. I don't let Dennis touch the laundry. :)

Oh, I hate wrapping too! Lizzy did all mine this year. I just had to do hers. But you gave me an idea......I wonder if Jake would wrap hers?

I thought I was the only one who had their kids wrap each other's presents! I had to wait until they were old enough to keep the gifts secret, of course, but now they love the wrap the gifts just as I used to love it when I was their age. Now it's just one more thing to get done. Priorities shift, I guess. (I also bless whoever invented the gift bag!)

I love to wrap presents but I hate to decorate the tree. Can you come over and decorate it for me???? My dad used to make me wrap all the presents. One year I had to wrap my own. It was packaged in a way that I couldn't tell what it was. My dad even wrote me a funny card about the whole thing. When I get my scanner hooked up, I will post it on my blog.

Dad is the best. I'm sure there will be a sweet reminder in the box that arrives that says, "Dont' forget to fluff the bow." :)

I love to wrap presents! I used to love taking all the wrapping materials onto my parents big bed, turn on a movie, and wrap for an hour or two. So much fun!

So...the truth comes out now about my beautifully wrapped gifts that I receive from you! Dennis does a beautiful job!! :) Actually I have seen you wrap a gift or two so I know you don't mind doing it but you gotta love Dennis for being so helpful...and I know you do!

Well he usually does wrap the gifts but if there is a bow on it, it's from me. He does not do bows.

I have to say that photo is not one of my better poses. Handsome devil, though.

I agree Den. You are stunning. I especially like your curls and wish you hadn't cut them off last week.

Looks like you hit a nerve with "wrapping" for Christmas. But I have to say...when you married Dennis you got a whole package deal! He's the BESTEST in the WESTEST! You make me laugh, cry, & ponder. What a gift you have with all the thoughts & experiences you share with us. BTW: That was so fun to hear YOUR voice Sunday as I strolled past you -trying to avoid colliding with children. I heard, "HI LISA!!!!" I looked back at your beaming smile and happy countenance! Made my Day! Thanks!
