Sibling Rivalry 1984

Let me bring you back to the spring of 1984.
My 3d son, McKay, was born. Brock was 7 and Logan was 5.
As you can see in the video below, Logan was having an adjustment.
I love this short clip, but I also sort of cringe every time I watch it.

I can see some things I could have handled better.
But hey, we do the best we can at the time, right?

Oh, that is SO FUNNY! The best part was, "Um...is there sound on that?" Love it.

Cute. I know how Logan feels though. My older brother was always first and better at things-in my opinion anyway. This was a very sweet video the boys were so sweet with McKay.

So typical of the actions of kids and their birth order. What I think is so cute tho, is that the adult Brock and Logan still resemble themselves as little boys. Delightful. Love, Dad and Susan

I think it is highly inappropriate to use home videos of other families and claim them to be yours

My kids still act like that!

Logan's comment was funny. You can see he loves little one's at an early age! Very cute. All your boys are so cute.

Ah, brings back memories. My boys were bickering/competing so much at that age, and yet they were best friends. Go figure!

I loved this video. Logan's straight face, no smile. He still looks like that today :)! It's nice to know that all kids fight and not just mine. Thanks for sharing this. I want to come over and see more.

Oh my goodness this is so funny and cute!!! I loved Logan's comment about this video clip. And of course, the first born always does get to do things first. I think it is some 'unwritten law' families have. I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Oh I love this! Mostly because it makes me feel like maybe my kids are normal! This is so typical of the younger kids feeling this way, I remember feeling this way myself!!!!

Wow, that's familiar! Birth order must define personality more than I realized.

This is so cute and funny! I've watched it three times and everytime it makes me laugh out loud.

I'm really impressed with your tech skills back in 1984. My parents didn't learn how to turn on the sound funtion until well into the 1990s.

That was SO sweet! What a cute chubby baby boy! Big brothers are the best!

NATALIE... I have a clip of you to show next month...Christmas 1982..when you refused to kiss the chipmunk that was filling in for baby Jesus. Do you remember that?

I had to watch this a few times. I found it hysterical! :)

there are so many wonderful moments in just this short clip; I love it! I like Logan's reasoning on why he hates that Brock gets to go first: because Brock is "dumb" and "stupid," not because it's unfair! I also like it when Brock says "How do you even know?" and of course who doesn't love Logan batting Brock away, while never taking his eyes off the camera.

Of course, this was before I came into the picture. When 1985 rolled around, our home was heavenly.

You got that right, Tyler! It really was heaven by the time you arrived.

So, Tyler got after me for not leaving a comment on this video... It's the best!! So, even though I haven't met Brock or Logan (officially), I really got a kick out of watching them interact.
I am excited to (hopefully) see more of these home videos!

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
