The latest on Amy

She had her regular-every-Tuesday doctor's appt today. She is now dilated to 2, and 60% effaced. Dr. Peters said he is very pleased she has made it this far. He wants her to stay on the meds for 2 1/2 weeks more weeks, trying to keep those babies in there till then.

She is now 33.2 weeks.
I'm starting to jump when the phone rings now.

Logan is in charge of naming the babies. Amy actually gave this privilege to him. Tonight he said he likes the name Pebbles. The only name she is against is Morse. He was hoping for that one earlier, but thankfully she vetoed it.

Yikes! It can be risky, putting a young man in charge of naming babies! I remember way back when Carl once told me he wanted to name his first son Omar. Yikes!!Mark and I didn't have many names we both liked. For girls there were only 2 we agreed on: Sarah and Jessica. For boys it was even harder. But somehow it works out.

Naming things/people has been talent of mine from the get-go. After all, I named myself Logan at the age of five, it has been a catalyst to my success ever since. Until I was five my parents just referred to me as #2. So at this point I am throwing around a few names. Pebbles and Bambam are nearing the top of my list right now. I also like Fffffffffff and Ttttttttttt. Amy and I are still debating on the number of Ts and Fs that show be applied, but I have the final say. Although, in the end I might feel compelled to name them after prominant people who have made a major impact on society like MacGyver and "That Chick from Alias", or The Flash and Mrs. Incredible. The way I look at it is they are all winners. What do you think?

Now that you put the picture of Pebbles and BamBam on...that's all that is in my mind :-)) I'm sure whatever Logan and Amy names them, they'll grow into the names. Amy is still looking great despite any and all discomfort she is feeling. I know what it is like to jump every time the phone rings so good luck with that Grandma Honey!!

all i have to say is that Heidi and Brett are awesome names. think about, logan.

Wouldn't that be so cute Heidi?! Then the twins could grow up vintage. As they would be playing in the cul de sac and I would call them in to eat saying, "Heidi! Brett!" it be just like old times on Filbert Avenue!

So. EXCITNG. This is such a GREAT thing to watch evolve. Amy still looks stunning as ever! So close too! I'd be jumping too every time that phone rang.

Logan sounds like a kidder kind a funny guy. He'll do a great job picking names for those twins! I'm sure of it! So. Exciting Jll!

Amy looks amazing! I can't wait to hear what names Logan picks...she's very brave to give him that role...I did too, and I'm not too sure I like what Luke picked..ah, well...guys and their names!

Luke is naming your son Natalie?! Maybe this is a new trend. Can't wait to hear what he chooses.

Based on years of experience I predict Amy will deliver by May 1.

I hope Logan names the children well. Think of them. Don't name them names like Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Cat in the Hat or Adam and Eve, Sonny and Cher or Apple and Banana. I still think Logan Jr and Karen Jill or Jill Karen are great names. George or Dennis would be good too.

Oh Amy is so brave! I could never let my husband have naming all to himself. He has been an advocate of "Bob-destroyer-of-worlds" for all three of our boys. Luckily we were able to divert him from his videogame nastalgia and settle on strong family names; Samuel Andrew, Benjamin Grow and Timothy Joseph.

I did finally break down and let him buy a lighting fixture called "Bob" though for his DJ business. Hmm...this may have the makings of a blog post of my own.

Praying that the babies will stay in and be born healthy and well.

Those are good strong names you gave your boys Cynthia. Actually Logan and Amy made a deal. He didn't want to know the sex of the twins until they were born. She wanted to know early so she could plan. So they compromised by finding out the sex of the babies early, and then Logan in turn gets to name them. Personally I think both of those privileges belong to the one who has the twins in her body. But what do I know, I'm only the grandma.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
