Amy wants to be in labor

Today she is 37 weeks and she has had enough. Erin took her out for a 40 minute power walk in between conference sessions. She came home with her hands swollen up, which is a new symptom, so Den took her blood pressure but it's fine.

They went on a 2nd power walk this afternoon and have another one planned for this evening. Logan is already on maternity leave. So we are ready. Watch Logan trying to wake up the twins.

I hope for Amy's sake the twins do make a healthy appearance soon. My husband would shine a flashlight on my tummy to get the baby to move. It was surprisingly effective.

How fun! I loved being pregnant and feeling my babies moving around inside!

A flashlight? I'd never heard of that. Amy, have you and Logan tried that?

My goodness--her tummy seems very plable. I remember mine being hard as a rock. Maybe my memory is bad. We're rooting for you Amy. Love, Dad and Susan

I agree with Susan...Amy's tummy moves a lot more than mine ever did. I also remember Becky's tummy being very hard. Well, if the walks don't get Amy started, Logan's trying to wake them up should :)))) Good luck to Amy! I'm getting excited for Amy just to be able to get a good night's sleep...well, at least a COMFORTABLE sleep. She deserves that!

Maybe the whole family should take turns taking you on power walks. My twins were three weeks early and today is three weeks early for you. I think it's going to be real soon.

Well, Amy may be ready, but apparently those babies aren't. Babies definitely have their own time table and that won't change even when they're born! L.O.L. Good Luck for a speedy delivery!

Yes, Logan and I have done the flashlight and it works. They would start moving around. I have to give a big THANKS to Erin. She walked with me three time today, each walk about 40 minutes in length. Hopefully it gets something started. Thanks Erin :) Dennis, I hope your right!

I know you're busy waiting for those babies, Jill, but try and stop by my blog for a belated birthday tea.

Hang in there, Amy! Every day those babies stay in there is one more day of maturity gained. They'll come out when they are good and ready!
