When my sons looked like this....

I would often wonder who they would marry.
I prayed often for their wives, even way back when they looked that small.

My prayers were answered.
Aren't they beautiful?
But far more important than that...they are sweet and bright and good.
The list goes on and on.
I love them.

***Side note:  Of all the pictures I have of my sons, the one here is my favorite.  I took it when Tyler was just a week old.  The boys wanted to play detective with "newborn baby" as they called him.  Brock and Logan put their Dad's jammies over their own (I guess to seem more grown up being they were detectives and all).   I remember the pure joy I felt that day watching my 4 sons together.
I don't think we ever got dressed that day.

What a great picture of your daughters-in-law!!! They are all sweet and beautiful, and surely your prayers were answered.

Loved seeing the "old" picture of your boys, too. They each did well for themselves. And it seems each wife is pleased with her choice. This is a "Happy Ending" story!

Love, Dad and Susan

So, youre saying there's a chance that one day I may be so lucky?=) Sometimes I wish I could fast forward and just see that each of my boys will end up happily settled with someone perfect for them. But I still have a lot of waiting to do. You are a blessed mother indeed=) Love that picture...it reminds me of my boys.

Hmm...I don't remember playing detective that day.

Those boys of yours chose beautiful, competent women who have chosen to live highly principled, Christ centered lives...just like their mother.

That is such a cute picture of your boys and all of your daughters-in-law are beautiful! The picture of your boys makes me miss those days when my kids were little and did the "dress up" thing. Thanks for sharing!

Jill, this is so sweet!

Really, you know, I feel like I am the lucky one. I really feel like by marrying Tyler, I married up. He encourages me to be better every day!

And I just feel like I really lucked out when it comes to in-laws. (I just wish we lived closer so we could all spend more time together!)

I grew up with my Grandma Honey, and when I stumbled across your blog it was nice to see that there was another Grandma Honey out there. You have a beautiful family.

I love this post! I love the picture of the boys. I totally agree with Karen that I feel like I married up. I've never been happier in my whole life and I am so grateful for you.

This is one of my favorite entries of yours thus far!
I think your daughters in law are all beautiful and wonderful. Of course, there is one who means a great deal to me.
Karen is such a terrific girl! I am very grateful that she has married into such a loving (and fun) family! What a blessing for her to have a kind and accepting eternal family. I know you love and appreciate Karen now and that makes me so happy! But what I also know is that she will continue to impress you. She gets better with time...you will not be disappointed.
I am also thankful to this bogging world and the opportunity it provides us to get to know one another. We would not have been able to know so much about each other years ago.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
