THIRTEEN

Logan and Amy arrived at the hospital today at 5:30am for the egg retrieval.

Her doctor was able to retrieve THIRTEEN eggs!
They are being fertilized and then tomorrow we will learn how many have survived,
and when the implantation will take place.

After Logan brought Amy home, she went fast asleep on a mattress in their family room.
When she woke up, this is what she saw:

And above her head:

They love their Mom sooooooooo much.
And they sure are hoping for a baby this time.

Interestingly, a few days ago their dog had THIRTEEN puppies.
Could THIRTEEN be their lucky number??
Amy was up till 4am that night holding one of the pups that was dying. This is so Amy, but
with all the hormones she is taking for the in-vitro,
I think we have Amy in ultra.
(Unfortunately 3 of the puppies did not survive.)

Tonight Dennis and I went to check on Amy.
We are always struck by her determination and her courage.
She and Logan want a baby so badly, and she has been through so much, but yet, she keeps smiling.

We didn't stay long so they could eat their dinner.
I told Dennis on the way over to their house, "I hope we will be bringing them dinner again in 9 months."

We love you all and our prayers won't stop.
Hopefully tomorrow we will learn some good news about the new little embryos and their survival.

Dear Jill,

Isn't this technology amazing?! Boy, Amy is a trooper. She hardly looks like she's ever had any kids at all. They are in our prayers too and in our fast today.

We went to the pole vaulting event in downtown Clovis Friday and sat right in front of the Rose Tea place where you were with Erin, Elora, etc. Looks like a fun place. I did a close-up on the menu from your blog and it looked quite pricey. What did your meal cost?

I hope all goes well for them Sis Shelley, we will keep them in our prayers...it's a rough thing to have that righteous desire and not see results...so frustrating...I wish them the best...

Jill...Amy is such a trooper with these invitros!! I pray that this time around things will be successful for her and Logan. What a bunch of cute kids to decorate the room for her. They are such a cute little family!
