What boys will do when their mom is out of the room

Before I show this video, I have to explain.

Lately I've been going through old videos....trying to decide which ones to preserve and which to throw out. Many are unlabeled so I have to watch them before I can make a decision.

So I come across this one video that I don't think I had ever seen before. It's obviously filmed by my oldest son Brock, who must have been about 11 or 12.

Sorry about their choice of music. It's a bit annoying. But this is just a small clip of it all. Logan dancing like there's no tomorrow. But then at the end you will see Tyler. I must have been  more relaxed back then about the state of my house and furniture.

Or maybe I just was happy to have some time to myself in the other room and didn't care what they were doing. Who knows. Afterall, it was 22 years ago.

Oh Jill... What a great way to start my morning!! I'm still laughing. Seeing Logan lip sync and dance was fantastic! I remember that song all too well! And Tyler jumping on the skateboard saying "I got to get that dirt off!" Classic!

Wow I am impressed. You allowed skateboards in the house? I have to laugh at their clothes too becasue I think mine had those same shorts!!!!

Rebecca...I just found out about that skateboard in my house last week, 22 years after the fact! But I do admit, I was much more relaxed about dirt and germs, but if that happened now I would be disinfecting everything.

McKay~ I have lots more. I'm just trying to space them out so my readers don't go away.

I feel like I have so many things to say about this video . . .

1) Clearly Logan should have been part of a boy band in the 90's. He had those moves down.

2) Seeing little McKay trying to imitate Logan's moves = priceless.

3) And Tyler hasn't changed at all. He likes things to be clean, and can get violent with dirty household objects when he's trying to clean them. (Have you ever seen him clean a kitchen sink? Nothing can stop him from making it look perfect.)

4) Also, little Tyler's hair - exactly the same today. At least, from the back.

Jill, these videos are awesome! I love watching them.

Keep 'em comin' Jill!
Reminds me of my boys back then. I got so relaxed about stuff after 4 kids that I DID allow skateboarding in the house! (I hate to admit this now) I can't tell you how many times the boys had to replace window panes from both outdoor and INdoor play! It was just non-stop! I guess it helps to know that now, as adults, they are all responsible, law-abiding, well-mannered men. I'm sure you have the same story.

Karen~ My bathrooms and my kitchen have not been as clean since Tyler left home!

Darlene~ We had to be more relaxed with raising boys or we would have missed everything. They are such different creatures than us. OH yes, and we had our windows replaced often also. I had forgotten about that!

I love this. Logan should start up a band.

Tyler is a kid after my own heart. I hate dirty things too.

What a hoot!!! Logan should have tried out for American Idol!! And that's the same music my boys listened too, only it was Tony and Nick that always liked to be performing. These old videos of yours are precious!!

I love it!
But I have to say, I always was and I think I always will be a 'nervous Nellie' when it comes to children falling! I wanted to jump into that video and pick Tyler up in my arms!
It's funny, I know he's a grown man and everything is fine, but my heart was in my throat, so afraid he was going to fall!

He is so adorable about getting the dirt off. And I so enjoyed Logan!
Love to you,
Eileen
