Memories of Grandpa

As soon as I heard he passed away yesterday, of course I cried. But probably not 2 minutes later I thought, "He's with his son!" (my first husband) and I felt so happy for them both. What a reunion they must be having!

He is also with his Dad who he lost at a young age, and his mother, and his 2 sisters, one having died when she was only 3.

He is out of that crippling painful old body. His suffering is over.
He has graduated. And for that, I am very happy, for him.

What a beautiful video. Some of those ones with the kids just made me cry, especially the last few.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Hugs to you.

What a beautiful and touching video! The music was perfect. To be loved by one's family--that is the ultimate tribute. He lived a good life. Your boys have been good grandsons. The circle of life continues. Love, Dad and Susan

Very beautiful, Jill. Seeing pieces of his life through these pictures I can tell that he was loved and that he loved much in return.
I enjoyed seeing all the 'hugs'.

I know you're happy for him, Jill, but I also know how hard it is to let go of the people that connect us to our past.
Love and Prayers,
Eileen

Beautiful snapshot of a full life. He looks so nice and genuinely adoring of all of you. I love the video with the twins and the picture of him playing the harmonica. So sorry for your loss, Jill. Thank you for sharing your memories of a life well lived.

Jill, I'm just stopping by to thank you for your kind comments to me on my posts.
And to tell you that I don't think Miracles is new, I think it's from Paul Cardall's album 'Miracles'. I'm not sure but I think I remember reading that.
And I think I first heard of him through your blog, so thank you for that!

And have you been reading 'reagan's blob'? Talk about miracles! Yesterday they were heartsick at the thought of Piper being transferred over one hundred miles away to another facility in upstate New York, but yesterday they got the news that she can stay until a facility closer to their home opens!
God Is So Good!
'Really fills my heart with so much thanks and praise!
And thank you for introducing me to Reagan's blog.
Love and Prayers,
Eileen

Whoever put the DVD with that music is really talented & awe inspiring. I don't even know your stepfather, but was totally "moved" by what I heard & saw. Thank you for sharing. It puts everything into perspective for me.

PS; I think of your sons who thought nothing of traveling long distances to be with him & his wife & go to the Temple with them & just visit.

My prayers with be with his wife & all of you.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
