My 2nd Dad is gone

He started his new life in heaven just a few hours ago.

It was very difficult for them to make it all the way here from Arizona last June for McKay and McKenna's wedding reception. Determination is what got them here. They also journeyed here for Tyler and Karen's wedding back in May of 2009, but he got so sick they had to return home before the ceremony even started.

Mom and Dad Heasley would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.

He loved his family fiercely. He always will.
Love and family never die.

I am sad for us, but oh so happy for him.

He has the most kindly face, and how wonderful that he always put family first, even when he was ill.

All of you are in my prayers. He sounds like a great man.

I love your first sentence here.

Great picture...it actually captures much more than the Sr. Heasleys sweet character.

Richard~~ I so agree. It captures the happy start of a new Heasley family in the making...his posterity.

What a sweet looking couple. I sure hope I have someone before I'm that age so I could be part of a cute couple. Sorry that he has moved on and isn't with you for now, but so glad you know you will all be together again.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sweet family. Losing a loved one is always hard on those left behind but what a great legacy he has left for all of you.
I hope his wife is doing well through this time.

I'm so sorry you lost him - and smiled to think of the wonderful reunions he's having.

What a gift to have had him in your life.

Darlene~ Logan and Amy are on their way to AZ now to find out the answer to that question. She does have a son living near by so that's good.

So sorry to hear this but understand that he is very happy & liberated now. I cannot believe they lived so long & married that long too! WOW. That's a life worth celebrating!

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
