Did you know you can do all this with Google?

I didn't.
I learned this in my new Reader's Digest that arrived here yesterday.

Really, is any of this news to you?
I didn't realize I've been taking the long way around things, not know I could go straight to Google.

I love Google.

Did you know you could text google? I've got it set up so that my default location is Provo - when I want to know the weather, I just text the letter "W" to google, and google gives me the forecast.

Also, I use it to find places - I just text the name of where I want to go, and Google will send me the address and info (like phone numbers to call). For me this is very helpful, since my phone is not wifi enabled.

AND there's a dictionary feature!

Plus, there are tons of other things you can do by texting google, but those are the three I use the most.

I discovered some of these by accident. It's amazing! And it seems too easy. In my classes, I tell my students to "Go to the University of Google" to find out the latest research and findings on childbirth topics. They always laugh, but hey, it works!

I didn't know all of this either but then again, it doesn't surprise me.

Karen, Darlene, and Cristie,
Apparently I'm behind the times then.
I knew I could google about anything I wanted to know...but I thought for example if I put in weather and my zipcode, it would just show me different avenues of weather that I could further go to....I didn't realize it would just give me the weather on google. Or on movies, I thought it would just give me a choice of several search engines, not just give me the movies. This is so slick to know.

And just think, at some date in the not too distant future, this too will seem quaint and old fashioned.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
