Hospital post-op pictures

Because of the Swine flu...which by the way we don't have one known case in our area...Den and I were not allowed to see Cami tonight.

Only parents are allowed in the patient rooms. No grandparents.

So Brock and Erin took turns coming out to visit with us in the lobby, bringing pictures, so at least we got to "see" her.

Cami pulled the tube out of her throat during recovery. I don't blame her for that! They were having trouble controlling her pain so they have upped the morphine 3xs so far. Now she is sleeping.

She is also running a fever tonight but the nurses are assuring Brock and Erin this is normal after surgery. Erin did not look real satisfied with that answer.

So here is our little patient.Looks like she has a beautiful large room with a scenic view.

And here Erin is, a trooper of a mother.
She says she will not go home until her daughter does.
Oh what praises I could sing for such a devoted mother to my grandchildren!

Oh, I didn't know she was going to have surgery. She will surely be better soon with so much love coming her way.

She sure looked sweet sleeping. I love how the room is so cozy for the little ones. Jasmine was there a few years back & I was impressed with the set up.

I can just imagine all the things that go through Erin's mind at a time like this. Words are just so inadequate. I hope Erin keeps a journal because it always helped me during those long hours at the hospital.

Brock & Erin are so thoughtful with you guys. Your whole family inspires me. I love how much you care for one another.

Poor little thing. She looks so small and helpless. I hope she recovers well and quickly.

Oh gosh that is just awful. I remember they had to tie Hosanna's hands to the bed because she kept ripping out all the tubes.

I hate being reminded that they don't really belong to us and HF can call HIS children back whenever He wants. Poor Erin!! My heart goes out to her! Get her a blessing if you haven't already.

And we'll keep Cami in our prayers.

I don't blame Cami for pulling the tube out. I'm sure that doesn't feel good. Cami is in my prayers for a quick recovery. Hopefully Erin is able to rest some what while she is there. She is such a great little mother.

Jill, thank you for your updates. They wouldn't let me up yesterday morning either. Ridiculous. Next to Brock and Erin, no one loves that little girl more than you and I! My family is also reading your blogs for updates. Thanks! Lynn

This is going to sound strange, but I like that Cami pulled the tube out, it shows that she's strong and feisty! Good for her!
I'm praying that strength of hers helps her to a quick recovery.
God's Blessings on you all!

Cami looks so peaceful. Hope she takes this recovery period well. It can be scary for a little kid. That is great that Erin is there. What a good mommy. That will make Cami feel so much better too. Thanks for keeping us updated .

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
