Oldest convert

Found this in the Church News. Possibly our oldest convert. She was 103 and was out driving on an Easter Sunday and came upon one of our meeting houses. She went inside and apparently when she realized it was the same church as her favorite TV channel, BYU-TV, she was interested, and later baptized.

Now she is 104, and still lives alone.
How I would love the chance to sit down and talk to this woman. Something tells me she has lived a most interesting life. She was the featured speaker in a stake center in Arkansas prior to our recent Relief Society broadcast last month. How I would have loved to have heard her!

How neat! I would love to talk to this woman as well! Its cool to think that if she wasnt as old as she was, maybe she would never had found the church! It really does show how heavenly father has a plan for all of us.

Jill,

What a neat story! I notice it was written by Julie Dockstader (forgot her married name already). This is Doc's daughter.

How funny that she remembers it as "Where am I?" and the members remember it as "Here I am." She sounds like a delightful person.

Your dad, Heidi and I all enjoyed this story. Thanks for sharing.

I hadn't even noticed the author Susan. Well how about that! I had no idea Doc had a daughter who writes for the Church News.

She was out DRIVING AROUND? At 103? Now, that's pretty remarkable! I too would like to talk to this woman!

Wow! I hope I look that good when I'm 103. I was supposed to be born on Sept.2 but was overly anxious and came on August 20th. Nonie was also due Sept.2 but came August 2, she was always less anxious than me. That will be me still driving when I'm over 100. I dare my kids to take the keys away! I loved the story. What a lady. Wish there was a way to get her out here to give a fireside.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
