Would you wear makeup on just one eye?

Yesterday morning I woke up with one swollen, red, and painful eye. As the morning progressed, so did the pain. Den said it looked like someone had punched me.I couldn't figure out what was going on.  So this morning I went to have it checked.
Kasier is so slick...just down the road, and I can always get in within hours of a phone call.
I figure I may as well just go in and see what she thinks.

Turns out I have eye eczema caused by some sort of allergy. My Dr told me to keep Cetaphil on my eye and go without makeup.

At least this is keeping my mind off the fact that I have jury duty tomorrow.
I think I will just forget about it for now and go pack our lunches for tomorrow. Dennis is going with me!

But first, have to share something that made us happy today. Den got a text from our granddaughter Kylie.

"Hey just want to let u and gma no that we r doin very good and so r the twins! We r almost Barstow! "

(Amy, Kylie, and the babies are on their way to Utah!)

And, her text included these 2 pictures!

I vote for no make up at all. And if you have some glasses, wear them. That covers up a lot!

=)

Oh I can't wait to see those guys! I am so giddy about it!!! And sorry to hear about your eye Jill. That sounds about just as much fun as.... Let's see.... Oh, jury duty! (I'm guessing they'll be releasing you from that soon with what you've been through over the years and now being married to a cop!) ;)

Great photos! And nice to be kept up-to-date on the trip!

I agree with Sue's comment, no eye make-up and glasses.
And I hope this clears up for you SOON.
Feel better, Jill.

And, jury duty? I would not enjoy that at all.

Love and Prayers,
Eileen

PS ~ We tried the 'Chinese Sundaes' and it was wonderful! Thanks!

If you want to avoid being picked for duty, wear makeup on just one eye. Also, show up in a house coat and wear a Carmen Miranda style hat with real fruit on it...you'll be dismissed within the hour.

I'll bet we're home before noon...if that long.

It seems I'm a bit late with my vote for no makeup. I'm sure you'll be dismissed, but I did really enjoy Richard's suggestions for you :-))) It looks like Jonas and Téa are keeping themselves amused :-)

These pictures are so cute of the kids. That's an ambious trip, but if anyone is capable, Amy is. Sounds like a fun adventure.

Jill, sounds like you have some sort of gremlin traveling through your body--attacking toes and now eyes. Have you ever been tested for Lupus?

I'm probably the only one who likes Jury Duty. The one jury I sat on was a very patriotic experience. I met some wonderful people of all types who valued the system and felt the same. For you with your health problems (especially with a vulnerable eye at the moment) however, being exposed to so many in not such a pristine atmosphere would probably be unwise.

Keep us posted on your health and your trip downtown.

Love, Dad and Susan

Jill! You should have told us about your eye yesterday! I hope you are okay. That does not sound like fun. We can't wait to see Amy, Kylie, Jonas and Tea!

I wouldn't wear makeup but then I don't usually wear it anyway. You might start a new trend though.
Dennis is so sweet to go with you. I hope you don't have to be there too long.
Why is Amy going to Utah? She is brave to go by herself so to speak.

Susan~~ My blood work is all really good. I think I've just inherited my mom's allergies.

MCKenna~~ By the time I talked to you last night I was feeling fine. The pain is gone. I just have to keep makeup off.

Karen~~ Amy is going to visit her mom and all the rest of the family. I agree, she is brave.

Peggy~ I got excused at 10:30...the other about 60 people are still there. I didn't ask to be let go so I was surprised when it happened.

Ooh, the eye thing does not sound fun. :-(

The twins are so cute, they look like content little travelers!

Oh I know Heather, don't they? I don't know how they can be so good in the car for those long rides.

Yes I would wear makeup on just one eye.
I bet you get home quick too, when I had jury duty I was there about 1 hour, got my check for I think 17 dollars, and that was that.
I am impressed you pack your lunches for this, I need to do better with this.
And the twins are beautiful!! Tea has the most amazing eyes!!

Rebecca~~ That's what I did. I wore the make up on just one eye. I wanted to look like I at least tried. No one cares but me, I know, but we all have our routine of what we do each day.
You got $17.?? I got 0.

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
