Memories of Chris

I was told these were taken about 2003ish.
Chris' friends were so kind to send these to me this week.
Below, he is with Berrett Rice and David Stark.

I found this paper in one of my Mom's books.
He wrote these poems when he was 14.

Jill, Those poems are so sweet. He sure had a lot of talent for a young man. Those pictures are really nice too. That was nice of his friends to send them to you. Thanks for posting these things. Tell your dad hello. He is such a nice man.

Hi Jill, I'm so glad to have come across your blog. I've been trying to obtain information about when his memorial service will be.
Chris was a pal of mine in highschool, although I haven't seen him in years I've kept up through mutual friends. He was one of the funniest people I've ever known. Recently I was moving, and my 12 year old daughter came across a box where I keep old pictures, letters, etc. She found a note that Chris had passed me in class one day. It's the silliest thing...but my daughter thought his letter was hilarious and wanted to hear all about this character. It was a fun trip down memory lane, and all of my memories of him are good ones. He was funny, irreverent, totally unpredictable, such a character in the best possible way. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'm grateful to have been his friend even though it was long ago.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
