1930 Fashion Predictions for the year 2000

They just could not grasp 80 years ago,  the casualness of our day now.

I remember growing up in the 1960s....the year 2000 seemed like science fiction.
We pictured ourselves wearing paper clothes and taking pills at mealtime rather than real food.

Oh Heavens....that made me laugh...especially where the man will wear containers that have "candy for cuties"...

Oh My--How funny was that?! Imagine carrying phones?! They were right on that one. Flash Forwarding on Memory Lane is FUN! Love, Dad and Susan

That's what I thought..they were right about carrying a phone! That thought must have seemed so bizarre back then.

This was funny. You come up with some of the funniest clips. Yep, they were right on with the phone. And I remember growing up thinking that by the year 2000, we'd all be driving cars like the Jetsons!

I posted a comment, I think. Where did it go? Anyway, I think I said that this was funny.

I thought it was hilarious when they said 'skirts will disappear forever.' We still wear skirts for sunday and special occasions, but otherise they were right on that one! And the phone, too funny! Some of that stuff sounded so nifty I wish they had been right (perfect climate all the time anyone?)

That was funny to go back in time. How funny human beings are & their perception of things. We're only as good as the information we have, right?

You know, Jill, the taking pills at meal time is not far off. Many of us, myself included, take "supplements" as part of our meals. I bet people didn't do that back in the 50s! I sure never took them as a child!

I remember. 2000 was like something from a science fiction movie. We thought we'd be living as the Jetsons. (Actually, in surprisingly many ways...we are.) All we need to do now is fly our vehicles off the ground, and we'd be about there!

=)

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
