The toothpick house

Den and I were just getting ready to go to Riverpark tonight when we got a call saying that our grandson, Chandler, just finished making his toothpick house!

We couldn't wait to see it, so we quickly changed our plans.

We just had to wait a little bit for them to finish up their Family Home Evening (They have that every Monday night)...
Then we got in our car and hurried over to see it.
I just love the little camp fire in front of his house.
Chandler you are one very creative boy!Since we were there, I asked Chandler if I could take some pictures of his room. So take a look!Grandma Susan (my Dad's wife) gave them these name frames for Christmas. The colors are perfect for their room.
Look at all the Lego creations he made on his dresser.
Great place for all his and Austin's hats.
This is the very desk Logan had in his bedroom growing up.
And so continues another generation of homework...
Stay tuned for the twins' nursery :)

Jill you are such a good hearted person that you ooze love. Does that make any sense? Love just seems to ooze out of you... My goal in life is to be a love oozer like you someday. Thanks for being such a good example to me Jill. you have definitely been a positive influence in my life.

This is a real treat to see the name placques in their very bedroomsQ What a creative guy to make a toothpick house! Handing down the desk is the best! We are always entertained when your blog comes up. Love, Dad and Susan

Chandler did a great job with the toothpick house! I can see that he looks like Amy in the face. And I love their room! Such a 'boys' room! I can hardly wait to see the nursery!

Great job on the house. Did he make that for school or just on his own?
I love their room, even the blue on the wall. Generally I have this thing about blue walls. I usually don't like them. Good job to who ever did it.
He seems like a great kid. Hope to be able to meet him someday.

My, isn't Chandler the ambitious one. I would have cancelled my plans too if my grandsons making something so creative and wanted me to see. The name frames are so cute and so is Chandler, and I must say his room is certainly tidy!

Boy have I missed alot from your blog this past weekend! Amy reminds me of myself when I was pregnant only I was only eating for ONE. I went to Bob's Big Boy & ate TWO Bob's Big Boy Hamburger meals with fries and a HOT FUDGE CAKE. Can't forget the dessert! Amy & Logan's family is SO CUTE! Loved the boy's room! LOVE ALL THIS FAMILY STUFF.

Those aren't my glasses. I can't remember the last time I was at your house, but it was a good reminder for me to get my prescription renewed since my glasses aren't right for my eyes anymore! Thanks!

I could really eat too when I was pregnant. I remember once eating a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of soup...which would not be so unusual except it was in the middle of the night! I also remember waiting until 9am for the only drive-through in town to open (on Blackstone) so I could get a hamburger. This was after I had eaten breakfast. I am not a meat eater but I sure wanted beef when I was pregnant. I learned later that women sometimes crave beef if they are pregnant with boys...and of course I had 4 sons. I guess I needed all that zinc.

you can give amy credit for the colors in the room, i just helped her paint. she picks out all the colors and has done quite a good job at it.

I agree. Amy's choices are beautiful.

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
