McKay and the pumpkin

See the finished product below.

Never seen anyone quite do this before....
McKenna bought the pumpkin, and McKay carved it.

The temple of course in Billings, Montana...McKenna's home town.

See the "MT" he added for Montana?
I notice you have a new shirt on McKay. Nice! Did McKenna buy that for you also?
I hardly recognized you without your math shirt.

I've seen all kinds of pumpkin carvings but not one of a temple. He did a good job! They sound like they are feeling better after the flu.

Creative!

Is this a BYU thing trying to skew Halloween into a religious happening? Creative, but very off the wall. Loved seeing pictures of McKay tho.

I know what you mean Susan. Some may think this is disrespectful...and for that reason I almost didn't post it. But I know McKay and McKenna didn't think of it that way in the least...I know they just see this as another way to show their love for the temple.

Do I see an engagement ring in the middle of the pumpkin instead of a candle? That is really cleaver.

At first I thought it was the Eiffel Tower.

Oh Tyler. I am so glad you said that. That is what I thought too but was too embarrassed to say so. The first time I saw it was without sound so that is my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for helping me to be brave.

Hahaha I love Tyler's pic next to his comment!

And are the Mc's coming to Fresno for Thanksgiving??????

Silly me, I thought the pumpkin had a cleft palate and that McKay was going to use his crazy carving skills to repair it.

Very innovative!

I got a kick out of the others in the video asking, "Isn't that sacrilegious?"

I guess some would think of it as that, but I'm much like you, Jill. It's the intent.
There are people of faith who try to incorporate their faith into each and every day.

All the best,
Eileen

Very good pumpkin idea! My kids chose a CTR shield. Paul did an awesome job cutting with it too. Jill, I have to say the little comment at the end of the post about McKay's shirt is hilarious of you. I love it when you show the "snappy" side of your personality. Unexpected and playful...you're the best! Thanks for the giggle.

I love it. I think they are clever and cute! I too thought a ring was tucked up in there...

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
