I just read this today from my Mom's journal in 1980:
"Tonight I had a long talk with Chris. He has a problem with his friends. No matter what I said he would say, "You don't understand." Finally I said, "I know how you feel but I don't know the answer to the problem." He said, "Oh, that's ok if you don't know the answer as long as you understand." Is that true!"
Mom was so wise. I still learn from her.

I'm so happy your blog is back! Too many things are gone due to this pandemic glad to see some normalcy returning. I found out today no more masks during recess at school, I almost cried. Empathy is what is sorely lacking in our world today. It is easy to feel sorry for someone but I agree what we all really need are connections. This past crazy year has proved that more than ever.
Thank you Peggy! I'm trying to come back here, but I wasn't sure anyone would even see this post. You have given me encouragement.
