When there is no peace on earth....

Funerals are always hard.

But being with the parents the day after they lost their 16 year old boy to a car accident, it's heart wrenching.

Ten days later, several of us in our church were in charge of the luncheon after his funeral service.

I made a sign up sheet to feed 300, and the volunteers just kept on signing up. People were so generous!

One lady signed up to bring TEN salads! Many signed up to not only bring food, but to come and set up, or serve, or clean up. Some signed up for all of that.

A catering company donated 600 fresh baked cookies!

Tables were set up throughout the church building.

In our young women's room....

In our Primary room....

In a classroom...

But most of the people were in our main room...

I imagine his parents will always see him like this.

"Peace in Christ" as the youth in our ward sang during Thomas's service,
was about the only thing that made sense that day.

It always comes back to this...
