Fabric Knot-Bead Necklaces

Kim, one of Den's daughters, was on TV again!

Looks like Studio 5 (KSL) in Utah just can't get enough of her. This time she teaches us how to make fabric knot-bead necklaces.

They look like they could be a good Young Women activity or even for the achievement girls. (Mormon talk for teenage girls, and girls ages 8-12)

Take a look.

You can go to her website HERE for step by step instructions in pictures. She also has another video there showing how to make Glass Block Photo Keepsakes that are really pretty.

This is so funny. I was going to say the same thing Erin said. I want to be Kim or Kris when I grow up too. These girls are so wonderful.
I have one of those that one of Robin's girls made me for Halloween. It is really cute.

Kim is really getting to be quite the star!
How fun!

It's been way too long since we got to visit with Kim and Kris. I think some of us Provo kids should head up to Logan sometime in the near future.

Brings back memories...when Ashley was 9 she took sewing lessons with Barbara Simes and made shorts, t-shirts and these necklaces for Brooke, Lauren and herself. She is putting a picture of it in her wedding video.

You're all so nice! And Erin...there just may be one under your Christmas tree this year! Hope you've been good! ;) These really are so easy to make. In fact, my daughter's teacher wants me to show the kids how to make them for their moms for Christmas! (So now I finally get one, too!) :)

Jill, Yesterday I commented on this blog and today it isn't here. Are you censoring me? I saw it on there. Please tell me I'm not losing my mind. I also sent your blog address to my daughter-in-law in case she and her girls wanted to do this craft--I wouldn't be surprised if they have done it already as Shellie is so on-the-ball and up-to-date on the latest things. I previously commented that I can see why Dennis is so proud. Susan (vanished from the comment section) Rozier

Of course I'm not censoring you Susan. I don't know why it's not on here. And no, I never saw it. Strange huh.

Amazing!
I have no crafting talent at all, so I really admire anyone that does. Very creative! And she does make it look easy!
I think maybe I could tackle the wire ribbon flowers, but since I can't sew a stitch I'm not sure about the necklace but maybe I can use no-sew fabric (I've tried it with other projects years ago).
Thanks, Jill!
Thanks, Kim! Great presentation! And so at-ease and poised in front of the camera, I'm impressed!
All the best,
Eileen

Jack's proud moment

Jack could hardly believe his good fortune  when they put the 4 year olds in charge of the fire!
