Memories of Grandma Gaynor

This video was filmed last year.....so the grandkids are older, and I
guess that means we are too.

In some ways I don't want to show this (which has much to do with
the fact it's taken me this long to share it here)....because I sound
bossy. Am I that way in real life? Apparently so since this film is
real life. I do NOT want to be a bossy person.

I need to work on that.

But my sisters and everyone else who shares memories of my Mom
here, are fabulous!

I don't call that bossy. I call that leading a group discussion. Not a hint of bossiness in my book!

Den thought I put people on the spot to talk. He thinks I should have just asked once and left it at that :)

What an incredible, wonderful tribute to your mother!! The stories and remembrances are so special and endearing. Wasn't it a secure and loving feeling knowing your mom was always there for each of you?
However did you gather so many people?! I always find it amazing that your extended family and multiple generations are able to be together often. The children are well behaved and quiet....even the two cuties on the hassock waving their arms and legs are respectful.
Very nice video and good added feature printing names of those who spoke. You sisters have beautiful eyes.
And I think you are a wonderful hostess and encouraging leader. Definitely not bossy.
p.s. What are the plants on your stands?

Thanks for doing that and posting it! I wish Wendy and I had been there to contribute...Wendy would have shared, I'm sure, an experience early in our marriage when she confided in mom that we had a fight. Rather than defend her son, mom expressed regret over enabling whatever the objectionable behavior dujour was. Before long Wendy was assuring mom that she was a wonderful mother despite her sons words or actions that day!
And, wow Jill, you are really bossy.

And regarding Dennis comment...you were dealing with a bunch of introverts. They appreciated the prompting you gave them, I'm sure.

Well you know Dennis...he doesn't ever criticize me. So when he said I was bossy in that video, I take it serious.

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
