Crazy who they ran into!

So while the twins were with us, and Amy and Logan were hiking and tredging through water in their bathing suits in Utah (after dropping Austin at the missionary training center)....

...we get this text from Amy......

Amy:  We went on this long hike in Zion National Park. It is called the Narrows. You hike in water and it goes on for miles. We hiked in about 3 to 4 miles. Once we got that far, we turned around to hike back out. And guess who we ran into? First time we met him.

Me:  Who????

long pause

Me: We are waiting! Please do tell :)

Then Amy goes on to explain that Logan asked this man a question about his boots as they walked by him and they got to talking.

Amy continues in her text: "He asked where we were from and we said Fresno. He said my son married a girl from Clovis. We said what's her name? He said "her maiden name is Rozier." We said, what, we are related! Which Rozier? He said Whitney. It was so cool."

Logan and Whitney are cousins. She's the daughter of Richard and Wendy.

And here they are in the swamps of Utah. Amy, Whitney's FIL, and Logan!

Whitney and Bret's wedding day.
Or the merging of the Roziers and Bakers.

Life just never quits being interesting.

Oh, and look what I just found....

It can sometimes be a very small world. Yesterday at the Hill Cumorah pageant (clear across the country from me and out of thousands of people there) I ran into my nephew's sister-in-law that I haven't seen for many years! Logan and Amy look like they had a lot of fun!

My father-in-law called me that night and told me this! He kept saying, "they just seem like such a great couple"... I assured him they are!

It was so fun running into Bret's Dad!! What a small world. He was so nice and we really enjoyed our short visit with him!

I'm glad we married Whitney into the Baker family before they learned how little she liked to wear clothes...

How cool is that?

(Still chuckling at Richard's comment.)

It is a small world. I can't wait to enjoy the wonders of Zion and Arches and all the beauty we have up here (that I am now a part of!). Speaking of small world, I met my new doctor today and he served his mission in Fresno! I'm sure we will find all kinds of kindred spirits and relations everywhere we go. Great story - glad Logan thought to ask about his boots!

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
