After surgery

So far so good.

Even his nurse seems surprised that Dad is so wide awake after surgery.
He doesn't act the least bit sleepy.

I thought this little corner of my Dad's hospital room was interesting.
It reminds me of the inside of a motor home.

Even on morphine, he gets all the questions right...
you know, like, "Do you know what year it is?" or "Where are you?"
When I asked him what level his pain was at he said 32.
Yep, he's still got it. (It did feel good to laugh!)

Thank you very much for all of your prayers.
We appreciate them more than we can express.

So sorry to read about all your Dad has been going through. And I am amazed at how spirited he remains. And I am in awe of your family support system, and touched and inspired by the way you all appreciate each other.
God Bless you all.

I caught up on your other posts and will comment at another time.
For now I will just send my love and prayers,
Eileen

So happy to finally see something since Tuesday. Did they do the same kind of procedure or a different kind? I hope he is doing well. He and Susan are in my prayers.

Well I wasn't going to, but Scott asked him if he wanted his picture taken and he said, "I don't care. I was still hesitant but he looks so much better that I couldn't resist.

Your poor dad....I just can't believe all he has gone through. It's crazy the way he had had to just keep going from one hospital to another. I do hope that whatever they did this time will help. My gosh, how much can one person take? I don't see how he can come out smiling!! I just hope he is through the worst of it now.

How he can keep his sense of humor through all this is more than I can understand, but he is one great guy!! Our prayers are with him.
