Black Bean and Bacon Soup
We had this for dinner last night with rolls and fresh pears and it was really quite good.
It's from Chef John on Foodwishes.blogspot.com.
I didn't make the topping, but instead just topped it off with some Trader Joes Verde Salsa.
I love how Chef John not only gives a list of ingredients, but he makes videos of each recipe.
So you get to actually watch him make it.

Tomorrow night I'm making this from his same website.and sharing it with my YW.

It just so happens that I cooked a large amount of black beans this morning for no good reason other than to figure out how to cook black beans. I'm so glad you posted this recipe! We just got done with dinner and it was delicious. We didn't have Cayenne so I just left it out and we garnished our soup with sour cream, salsa, and lime juice.
Yum!!! I'm really excited to try both of these! I have been looking for some new recipes.
