I was looking through McKay's baby scrapbook, and I had written down 27 1/2 years ago,
my very first words, on seeing him for the first time:
"You better marry a nice wife."
I hadn't realized he listened to me even though he was just seconds old at the time!
McKenna is a sweetheart in every sense of the word.
We have been praying continually for her recovery.
She is still in lots of pain, but McKay says she is better than yesterday.
We love you McKenna!
Take a look at their little cutie pie.
The edited version of course.

I have not been checking in on blogs or anything for a while now. But I am so excited to get on yours and see your newest grandson, Grant. How wonderful! He is a cutie too! All of these sweet babies in your family; such blessings.
He is such a sweet boy. I wish someone would come over and give me a bath like that. Such service.
How precious! What a great job that nurse has. McKay has you pegged for sure--you not only remembered their weight and time of birth, you also remembered the weather! So funny. Love, Dad and Susan
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful baby boy!! He is darling! And he sure loves his hair washed, but then so do I :-) What a blessing he is! I hope McKenna and little Grant are doing well.
Thanks for sharing this, Jill. Very sweet.

Oh my gosh, he is soooooo cute!!!! Love the video, thanks for sharing!
Oh he is so adorable!! I wanted to reach right into the screen and grab him and hold him. Congratulations to the new parents, grandparents and great grandparents from the Wakefield's.
"My mom could tell you the weather!" I had a good chuckle when he said that. It's so true! Your memory has always amazed me! I loved the video. It brought back so many sweet memories.
That was so much fun to watch!
Can't believe you can remember all of those details. You are a wonder, Jill.
=)
Sue~ I have a tradition on their birthdays of telling their birth story, complete with a weather report of the drive to the hospital. I'm not sure they appreciate this tradition but I'm hoping someday they will.
What a little sweetheart! Such a cutie. So fun to see him. He sure seemed to like having his hair washed!
Congratulations on another beautiful baby boy in the Heasley family! He is so handsome!!
I wish the nurses at my hospital had showed me that little scrubber for washing the hair. Would have been helpful with cradle cap. I'll have to find one for our next child.
I love that you told your newborn baby boy that he better marry a nice wife! And I love it even more that he listened!
I always feel that the nursery nurses are so rough with the newborns, but I guess they are just so used to handling such tiny babies! And Grant McKay seemed to love it all! So sweet.
(I actually was saying out loud though, "Watch his head!" to which my family burst out laughing at me. "I'm afraid she's going to knock his little head into the faucet though!")
We all think he's so beautiful, Jill!
Many Blessings on this new little life!
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
What a sweet, sweet baby!!! I love their little squeaks...makes me long for another one;)
Loved this video; Grant is so sweet.
I love these baby pictures....congrats to your whole family!!
Grant is such a beautiful baby. It was fun to watch the video. I can't believe what a great job the nurse did on that little guy's head. First she rinsed it twice and he seemed to love it. Then she shampooed it twice, and rinsed it twice again. That's more head washing than I ever did for any of my children. Mine never had cradle cap either. I must say she was very thorough. Thanks for posting it. I have never seen a baby with prettier features. He is going to be one handsome lad, just like his dad.
I forgot to mention that I do hope that McKenna heals rapidly. It is too bad that she had to have the C section. My daughter, Nancy, had four of them though and had four boys!
