My sons' parents

McKay asked me to put this picture on my blog.

It was taken the summer of 1973.  Before we were married.

This picture always bothered me because you could see through my blouse.
I didn't know my blouse was like that until I saw it in a picture, and then I threw the blouse away.

But I finally found a way to edit it, so here is is:
This reminds of that summer of 1973.
Bill and I use to sit in his little orange convertible in front of my house because we had the hardest time saying goodbye each night.
This was 'our song.' He would often sing it to me under the dark sky:
(which I thought of having someone sing at his funeral, but that day was hard enough as it was)

Go to 5:24 for the song

I love this song too! I can see that each of your boys look like Bill to a certain extent. That's a good picture of you guys. It's definitely got that "70's" look about it :-) I'm glad you were able to 'edit' the picture :-))

I'm older then both of you in that picture. That's kind of weird. Mom, you were quite the looker back in the day. I just noticed that I have a permanent mustache just like my Dad. You are two hip kids.

What a cute picture! I've had the same thing happen to me with blouses that I didn't realize were see through! Horrifying. :-)

Wow, you were one good-looking chick! And your husband was pretty dreamy himself.

I really like the song "If I loved you." It would have been beautiful to have that for the funeral, but I agree...maybe just a little too emotional at that stage of grieving.

This picture brings back wonderful memories, I'll bet. Thanks for sharing this picture with us.

=)

Wow, I didn't know Bill was such a stud. (ha ha)No wonder your boys are so handsome. You were so cute too-and still are.
I love that shirt. Too bad it was see through. Love your editing job.

Wow! This song elicits a "Heavy Sigh." Your blouse looks like a 1970s tie-dye shirt gone awry! We loved it. Love, Dad and Susan

Such a sweet post! Such a sweet couple! You look like babies!

That song is beautiful and so is the movie, and so was that couple in the summer of 1973!

Isn't it amazing to think of all that has transpired since then?

And when you look at your boys and your grandchildren, and your extended family, doesn't it all make sense?

I'm happy you were Blessed with Bill then.
And I'm happy for you today to be Blessed with Dennis.
All the best to you and your family,
Eileen
