My kind of fun

Tonight we are having the Beehives (girls from our ward ages 12-13) here for dinner along with their mothers. We will go over "Personal Progress" since 2 new Beehives will be joining us tonight.

Dennis thinks I am stressing over this.
Do I feel stressed? No.
Do I act stressed? No, not in my world I don't.

Okay, I guess I am a little. But it goes with the territory.

Being he is a man, he does not get this. If he were trying to set tables and get food for 18 people tonight, yes, he would be stressed because he would not like to do this.

I love it.

I've figured out that anything I talk a lot about, he thinks I am venting from stress. In my world we women types talk much about what matters to us...not necessarily what we are stressed about. Right? Sweet man, he tries so hard to figure me out.

Men are so simple, and women are so complicated. I wonder why that is.

I loved raising sons.

I always have a goal of not buying anything to decorate. No fresh flowers, just things I have around the house. I did spend $4.00 on cups and napkins from Dollar World.

So I have had fun today going from room to room putting things together for the tables.

This is my family having a pre-view dinner last Sunday.
I like to practice on them.
Truthfully, I use it as an excuse to get together.

They really did act good. Just not for this picture.

Now I get to just look at it all until the girls and their Moms arrive, plus get the food ready :)

Young woman hold personal progress book

Personal Progress is a goal-setting program that helps a young woman develop a testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. A young woman can work on Personal Progress even if she is the only young woman in her ward or branch.

So what are you serving for dinner? I couldn't tell from the picture.

I think this looks like fun too! Something men don't "get", and good luck with trying to explain to Dennis that when we women talk and talk and talk, it is because we like to talk and talk and talk, not so much because we are stressed, because I am still trying to explain this to John after 30 years!!!

W-0-W!!! Nice Set up! So...by the time you read this you can tell us how it all went! I'm with Darlene..."What are you serving for dinner?" I wish I was a YW. I never grew up with YW in my life! It looks great and I thought your commentary about Dennis and Stressing was humorous! VERY COOL!

I got to taste the dinner first hand and it was delicious! Everything was so perfect on the table. I would rather eat at your house any day, than to go out to a restaurant! Your food is awesome. And, yes, your blinds look beautiful. Thanks for experimenting with us for tonight's dinner, feel free to do that anytime.
