Rozier Christmas 1983

We've had a tradition in our extended family through the years of all getting together on Christmas Eve.
All of my 7 siblings along with their families.

We have dinner together, then the youngest ones in the family re-enact the Nativity scene.

Take a look at a clip from 1983.

It feels good to see my Mom in this. Also Chris, he was 16 at the time. My first husband was filming this. My niece Robin (age 6 at the time) was there that evening but not in this particular segment. We miss all 4 of these family members. I hope they are all together.

Mom would always orchestrate this event. We didn't have a newborn in the family that year to use as baby Jesus since my niece Lindsay was not born till 3 months later. Mom apparently could not find a doll so just grabbed a stuffed animal which happened to be a chipmunk. Make do with what you have, is what Mom would always say. Wrap it in a blanket and pretend.

My oldest son Brock is Joseph, and Logan is an angel. Can this really be 25 years ago?!?

Looks a little chaotic at first.
Stay with it as you don't want to miss my niece Natalie as Mary.

What a sweet Mary little Natatie was. I had to laugh at Chris covering up his face, what a sense of humor. It reminded me of my brother. How cool that you have this video!

This is so entertaining and delightful. How is it that you have access to all these wonderful movies and memories? You are so organized. Your dad really enjoyed this. So did I. You sound a lot like your mother. Love, Dad and Susan

This was way too cute. I have known you guys have done this but have never seen it so it was really nice to be able to see one.

Isn't modern technology wonderful so that we can capture these moments and see them again! Children make Christmas time great! Thanks for sharing!

My girls used to do this when they were little, but with only three of them to play all the parts. I love the laughing in the background
and being able to hear your mother's voice again. What fun for your kids to have this memory recorded! Kathy

This was so great, Jill! Thanks for posting it. It was really fun to see Chris & hear his voice. This was about the time David met Chris and he really enjoyed watching it, too.

You have a priceless treasure there! I loved this video of your family tradition! 1983!!! Decades ago and the kids...there's nothing like them. They're what the "good" life is made of!

I loved watching this. I remember Mary and the baby chipmunk like it was yesterday, too bad it ended before we got to see Robin as Mary. This was my first Christmas married and Jeff's first experience with our Christmas pagent so that is probably why I remember it so vividly. Thanks for sharing! Peggy Sue

Look what happened last night
