Same time every year

I don't know exactly why this happens to me....but for the past several years, right around the New
Year, I have the sweet words from this hymn play over and over in my head.

"Fill our hearts with sweet forgiving; Teach us tolerance and love.
Let our prayers find access to thee in the holy courts above
Then, when we have proven worthy of thy sacrifice divine.
Lord, let us regain thy presence. Let they glory round us shine."

Mostly I will be in the kitchen. I guess that's where I do most of my thinking. I especially love the
first line. Over and over I sing it in my head. Perhaps I should go on Etsy and see if I can get a plaque
made. Obviously this is a message I need to learn, and relearn, or it wouldn't keep coming back to
me.

Den told me last night it's time to take down our Nativity since we are the only ones on our street
with our lights still on. I said I need it for one more night.

I will miss it. I will miss this precious season.

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
