Grandma Honey, the bystander

Just Grandma Honey the bystander, watching....

Violet was struggling to eat her watermelon with just one hand

So cousin Téa spoon fed her every bite.

What goes around comes around, as my Mom use to say...

because later on in the morning when Téa had several sneezes,

look who came to her rescue with a tissue.

Something that Violet could accomplish with just one working arm.

As I snapped the picture Jonas made a face and said, "Grandma 

Honey, that's nothing! You are taking a picture of nothing."

I said, "Oh no it's not! Kindness is never nothing."

We will soon miss these cousin picnics on Filbert Avenue.

"Let's take turns cleaning up. That's what I learned at school." 

says Violet.

Cousins who clean together stay together.

or something like that.

Téa knew Violet couldn't open her juice box with one hand,

so she took over before she was even asked.

Or how about when Violet stopped by in the kitchen and 

invited Téa to feel the bubbles with her....

Always looking out for one another. That's what cousins do.
