A way to find out what's going on with your kids

So a few weeks back I had a link on my blog to some questions that claim
to get your kids to talk about school. Way beyond, "How's school?"… "Fine."

So I thought I'd try it on the twins. This is just a tiny clip of that session.
Watch how Jonas handles all Téa's chatter about her new friend Isa.

I don't mean to encourage my grandchildren to think of negative things about people by
bringing up the space ship question. I see it as a gentle indirect way to ask if there is anyone at school
they are not feeling comfortable around, or who is bothering them in some way.

Go HERE if you would like to read all 25 Ways to ask your kids, "So how was school today?" without asking them, "So how was school today?"

These questions really work. They opened up about all kinds of things.

If you have teenagers, try this list instead.
You may be surprised what you'll find out.

Ok so this made me laugh so hard. I love how Jonas wants the new friend to go on the space ship, he is one smart boy!

I know what you mean, Rebecca. Jonas and Téa have always been so very close. I wonder if he's a bit jealous now.

I wonder if it is jealousy, or......maybe he is just tired of hearing about her.....hehe...Or he might even have been joking....funny though!

Tea sure is loyal to her new friend! Is she the dramatic one of the twins?

Depends. If it's anything to do with a party or celebrating a holiday Jonas gets crazy excited and animated. If it has anything to do with people or their feelings, Téa can be very passionate.

What a cute video clip! I, myself, think it was just a "brother teasing sister" thing about sending Isa on the spaceship :-))

This is priceless. And I love the smirk on his face after he banishes her girlfriend to the space ship.
