me. I wasn't ready to go to sleep as early so I started going through the May's issue of Reader's Digest
which has been right by my bed….since April.
After reading a few articles, I found a golden one! I wish I had read this when my kids were little and
especially when they were in grade school. For one thing, I'd never thought before that when you ask
kids how school was that day, they really don't know. Or that our friends don't know how they are
either.
This article is too good not to include it all.

I think this would be good not just in marriage, but in our every day life communicating with others. Too many people I run into each day could care less about anything I have to say. I think it would be nice if people asked some of these questions. I am going to really try and make an effort to do this. Thanks.
Some of the questions this author came up with I hadn't quite thought of. …especially the ones to her husband. I wouldn't think to ask, 'What did I do today that made you feel appreciated?"
I much prefer "How was your day?" I can take that question any direction I want. The others feel intrusive and confining. Just me.
