First stop Provo, Utah to learn the language for 6 weeks.
Thank you Wendy for these pictures!
She and Richard picked him up from the airport in SLC this morning.
Exciting times, for sure.
I think he has grown a foot or two.
This picture must melt his mother's heart. Especially today.
He's as cute now as he was then. Well, almost.
Davey's been preparing for this day all of his life and it's finally here!

Many many blessing, Davey. And to his parents who have raised this nice young man. Just think of the impact on the world if all U.S. graduates were sent to mission fields. Thank you for setting an example.

I think saying goodbye at the MTC now is a lot easier than when we sent our sons. My nephew's son went in the MTC yesterday also!
What an exciting time for him and his family!
And what a beautiful day that was! Was that in Clovis?

very exciting! he will be a great missionary...thanks for sharing the pictures!
Sorry Darlene, I should have explained more. He left from Fresno airport but those pictures were taken in Provo, Utah just as he was arriving at the Missionary Training Center.
I thought it was a little to clear and beautiful to be California's central valley!

Right, plus don't have mountains that close.
What an adventure!
=)
PS. And that pic is priceless!!
I love how you had Davey in his missionary suit/tag as a young boy & now. What a wonderful experience he will have in Argentina & how proud his family must be! Ok, so when he gets back I guarantee he will come back & talk about the empanadas, chimichuri, the tomato/red onion ensalada & milanesa. Mmmmmm.....& the people are lovely too!
I am really excited to hear updates from his mission, especially once he is in Argentina. I wonder if he will serve in the same areas as Nathan? And if so, he will definitely get to meet some of the people Nathan served and loved. Sooo cool!
That photo of him as a little guy with the nametag! Cute!!
Thank you so much for posting these pictures. It was so nice to see. I miss him already. I am one proud aunt.
