He's ready for his surgery, finally.

My Dad is having surgery tomorrow morning in Modesto and Den and I wanted to be there. Just because.
Dad and Susan drove up on Sunday since they had that fun pre-op to go through this morning.

It was suppose to be a 2 hour trip, but it didn't work out that way for us. We left our house about 2 pm and just as we were getting on the freeway we noticed a very odd sound. This disturbing noise kept getting louder.
Finally Den was able to pull over and could see one of our tires was coming apart....
So he announced, "Well there goes our trip."

But he saved the day!
Took me home so I could wait in comfort, while he spent over 2 hours at Pep Boys getting new tires.
Then we were off again and finally pulled up to this beautiful place about 8pm:

While Den checked us in, I went to see Dad and Susan before they went to bed.
They are to be at the hospital very early.

We quite like our room too.

It was suppose to be an adjoining room but the girl upfront said,
"Oh yeah, I knew we were suppose to save that room for someone but we couldn't remember who."
So we are across the hall instead which is fine.

Nighty Night Dad.
You are going to feel so much better after they get your batteries replaced tomorrow.
You've been running on low for weeks now.

PS. I know not everyone's father runs on batteries. But mine does. He's special like that.

He also has an angel wife who takes such tender care of him.

I'm happy you made it up there. Your room looks nice. Our friend stays in a SpringHill Suites when they come to town and they love it! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

So glad you could be there for moral support. I'm sure they appreciate that.

The rooms look nice. Are you making sure to get your Marriott Reward Points? They add up fast! Good luck to your Dad on his surgery. And just for the records, I think Susan is an angel!!!!!!!!!
