The long ride home

The McKs and Grant drove home yesterday from Montana to Portland,
and Grant did not like it at all.
SO, after the first 5 hours of their trek, they stopped somewhere to eat lunch.

Problem was, when they took Grant out of his car seat and into the restaurant,
his head was still leaning.

And just so you'll know he recovered...
or maybe these were taken while in Montana...
whatever, I love them.

                                                              Book club #2 list tomorrow.

That long in a car with a toddler. Fortunately, I can only imagine.

Grant's head was "still leaning." What are you implying?

Richard...remember when your girls were in car seats? Their heads leaned against either side of the padding. So after leaning one way for 5 hours, Grant was still leaning after they took him out.

Babies and car seats. Not a good match.

We felt so bad for the little guy. For the last 8 hours of the drive one of us sat in the back with him to hold up his head. He is such a good kid. He had a hard time going to bed when we got home because he was so excited to move around.

Brock had this same thing happen to him when he was 21 months old. He woke up one morning with his head leaning and he would fall some when he tried to
walk. It really scared me so I took him to see the Dr and he was diagnosed with torticollis or wry neck. He had to wear a little collar around his neck for a day or so and then he was fine. I later learned that Grandpa Heasley also had this a few times and would call it "a cold in the neck"....so I think it's a Heasley thing.

They need to come up with some kind of gizmo in the car seat to keep their heads up straight.

I get stiff necks very easily. Not fun!

That is ONE GORGEOUS BABY! The colors in the pic are so vibrant & alive. The photographer has a GOOD EYE if you ask me. Nice to see!!! I would love to know what Montana is like over there. Most of my kids & we have dreamed of owning land in Montana with a dwelling on it to go to.....Does she have a blog or her Mom?

That looks like it would be uncomfortable and painful to have his head leaning but he obviously survived.

Look what happened last night
