Christmas Eve 1983

It's our Rozier tradition to spend Christmas Eve together,
and we always highlight the manger scene.

However, I need to apologize to my family even though this was 29 years ago.
My 4 year old Logan was having a hard time that night for some reason.
Watching this video, I was struck by how patient everyone was with him.
I've decided it's a Rozier virtue. The patience, I mean. Passed on by our parents.

What I can't figure out is why didn't I step in and help him?
Was I across the room and didn't hear what he was saying? I can't know.

Also, usually I cut videos way down,
but this one has many clips of my Mom  (she's dressed in all red).
She would be 83 this Saturday!
She's been gone for 5 1/2 years, and we all miss her SO much.~

There is nothing as fun and amusing as family videos. I'm sure your family enjoys these clips.

That was so cute. Who was the donkey and the baby?

Who is that baby?? And the donkey man?

The baby is Lindsay. And the donkey man is Suzanne's brother, Matt. And those are Suzanne's parents sitting by John.

You were born 10 months later, Carly.
And Karen, you came into our family about a year later.

What's remarkable is that is how the first Christmas really happened...

I know what you mean, Jill. I have audio tapes of our family, and I can hear my baby crying in the background and wondering WHY DIDN'T I GET HIM? I didn't tend to let babies cry. It's really embarrassing.
Love this video!

I love this for so many reasons! I especially loved seeing all 4 of my grandparents in the clip. I think I saw the back of Heidi's head but where were Chris and Scott and Peggy?

Julie~~ I don't think Scott and Chris were there....maybe they were in Utah skiing. But Peggy and Jeff were there. I have more video from that night that I want to post soon. I figured you would enjoy seeing your grandparents! Your Mom's sister was there too.

Wouldn't you have been about 6 months pregnant with McKay during the Christmas of 1983? Maybe you were resting your tired bones while Logan was having a hard time!

wow, you are so good Heidi....yes I was 6 months pregnant with McKay! In another clip I am slumped back on the couch....probably tired.

Hailey will love seeing her mother! What a treasure. My favorite part is squawking female Jesus in a Santa suit...

I need to take a movie of my mom. At least I could do that, even though I never got any movies of my kids. I do think Mom and Dick took a few videos. I need to ask them about that.

=)

PS. I do love watching your videos of joyful family living.

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
