Our sleepover in Medford

Even though we got up at 7am this morning it took us till 8:46 to leave the house for our Oregon trip.
We packed the day before, AND we ate breakfast in the car,
so it should NOT have taken us 106 minutes to get ready to go. But it did.

After about 6 get-out-of-the-car-and-walk-around-stops, we arrived in Medford about 5:30.
Once we checked in to the Holiday Inn Express, we went right over to Elmer's for dinner.
So what should we see as soon as we walked in the restaurant?
A sign announcing summer.

Where we come from, we feel summer, we don't announce it.
But with spring like temps here, I guess they need to let the residents know when it has arrived.

Since we haven't met up with our grandchildren yet (that's tomorrow!)
I had nothing else to take pictures of except our food:
It's your guess which dinner is mine.
Hint: 90% of the time Den orders breakfast. Not me.
And I like my fish with applesauce and lemon.
Now you know.

So on our way back to the hotel we spotted this.
Like I say, they do things differently here in Oregon.

So don't give up on me yet.
My pictures will be much better once I see our little grandsons,
not to mention their good looking parents!

Both dinners(one breakfast) look delicious! We just got into Great Falls but we had to eat Subway in the car to make it here by 10:00 p.m. I'm excited that you get to see those cute llittle grandsons!!

Applesauce with fish? Sounds like the Friday special at Vinland Elementary.

Can't wait to see pictures of Grant and Rich! We facetimed with McKenna and Grant on Sunday and it was so fun to see them.

We've got relatives in Medford and Ashland and Eugene and Woodburn (just south of Portland) and Portland! In fact, our Gabe will be on the road today from Eugene on his way down here. He'll be driving a maroon Vanagon. If you see one, wave!

I can't believe you made it to Medford in such a short time! Your dinner looks pretty good. I just say that I often have breakfast for dinner, so that particular meal looked more tempting to me.

I hope you have a wonderful time while you are there and with all that family there, I am sure you will. I'll have to remember to look back to see the pictures of the grandchildren because, as you know, I don't read blogs every day. I'm lucky if I read them twice a week, mostly it's just once. I really don't like to spend too much time on the computer.

I had a chuckle at the picture of the car, or half of one anyway, at the wall. You seem to find interesting pictures to post no matter where you are. I can't take a decent picture and I have a heck of a time getting Dick to take them.
