We're on our way to making my dream come true

Tonight we are in a hotel room in Medford, Oregon.
On our way tomorrow to see McKay and McKenna
and baby Grant in Portland (specifically Tigard).
I'm a bit excited because I get to see my son and his sweet little family
 in their life.
I get to see them about twice a year, but this is the first that I get to go to them...
to see their apartment, his job in downtown Portland,
their neighborhood, their city, and even their ward.

I slept all of 5 hours last night...from 11:30-4:30.
And here I am tonight not the least bit tired.
Den says I am living on adrenalin. I think so.

Once we got out of California the drive has been gorgeous.
Not that Calif does not have its perks,
but driving from Fresno to Sacramento to Redding is not the prettiest ever.
But it's like something magical happens once we crossed the Oregon border.
Suddenly everything is green and lush and forestry looking.

And the signs around here are even different.

 So many fun organic restaurants.
Do you know how many we have where I come from? Zero.
It's interesting to me, that the more progressive cities are,
the more natural they become.

Doesn't our food look wonderful? A baked potato loaded with vegetables.
That's Den's club sandwich in the background.
My jaw is not good again so I could eat the potato,
but I put the vegs in my chopper.

Oregon is also the land of conservation.
We saw this sign at our table.

So after we requested our water, it was doled out to us in small glasses.

So that's all I have for now.
Time for nighty night.
I'm not sure about this bed.
Looks great but feels similar to the floor.

And thank you Richard for being our watch dog back home.
More soon.Whether you want to know about our trip or not.
