"Baby born on side of road"

And McKay knows the father!
Ray Willardson was the 1st counselor when McKay was Elder's Qurom president in his ward a few years back..
Look how he and his wife made the news.

There is actually a much better video of it HERE, but it wouldn't let me embed it.
Turns out they named the baby Griffin, which is the Mom's maiden name.

And since Enoch put it on Facebook, I guess it's okay to say that my niece Carly had her little girl last night. She was born 6 minutes after my sister Peggy's (Carly's mom) birthday. Peggy arrived there at 11:30, (before the midwife! who came a few moments later), and Carly had her at 12:06am!  Peggy said a short time after her birth Carly got up, took a shower and got dressed. She walked out to the living room and said, "I feel so much better now." She's incredible.  Enoch announced on Facebook that baby girl weighs 8 lbs, 6 oz....their smallest! and her name is Calvary Kerry. The middle name is from my youngest brother Christopher Kerry Rozier who passed away 3 years ago this week.

I was watching the news the other night and stepped out of the room but I heard the story. What excitement that must have been! Congratulations to Carly and Enoch! Carly really is a trooper! She would have been a great Pioneer!!

Peggy~ That's exactly what Dennis calls Carly, "the pioneer woman" !

Connie~ It brought tears to my eyes too. I kept thinking about our 2 grandsons due in Sept and how it would be if that happened to them.

Karen~ I know, WOW.

Ohmygoodness. Speechless about both super women. The rest of us must have been wimps--I know my stories of births are NOTHING like these two. So happy for both that all went well. So nice that "Kerry" was used. Love, Dad and Susan

Wonderful story about the baby born in transit to the hospital. I watched both versions!

And congrats on the new baby in your family, too!

Oh my gosh, talk about two brave ladies. I am impressed with Carly. She must have had the baby at home. I didn't know people did that anymore. I don't know that I have ever heard the name Calvary for a girl (or boy either, for that matter) I wonder how they came by that name. I like that they gave her the middle name of Kerry.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine. She was in labor, on her way to her birth center, going down her windey mountain road, her husband driving, her two older children in tow. The baby started coming out and they had to stop by the side of the road and deliver him! She got out of the car and delivered him standing up!

Our friends Sarah and Joe had their baby girl Caroline (first baby) 2 months ago in the bathtub of a Holiday Inn! Sarah didn't even know she was in labor until the baby was coming. Joe delivered his baby just minutes before the paramedics arrived. A bit too exciting for my tastes!
