Halloween in Provo, Utah

McKay and McKenna had a pumpkin carving party a few weeks ago with cousin Jake and his wife Katie.

The Mcs actually spent Halloween in Denver,
so maybe that explains why they were carving so early in Provo.

Not sure how this picture fits into them all, but the Mcs sent it along with all the others.
McKenna is so cute, I just had to share.

Wonder what the neighbors thought seeing this mid October. Or maybe that is just how things are done in Provo.

I've never seen a pumpkin with so many teeeeeeeeth. I think it should have won a prize.
I think it was a sign of what was to come!

Very creative pumpkins! I have never seen a pumpkin with so many teeth. Thanks for giving the link to their pumpkin last year because I forgot how creative that was. The big question I have is, "Is that a mustache McKay is growing or does he not like to shave every day?"

They get a lot of mileage out of their holidays in Utah. UEA is the best. It lasts about a week in early/mid October, has something to do with education, but is an excuse to go deer hunting.

Everyone carves pumpkins starting around mid-October in Provo. It's not weird at all. Do you guys carve pumpkins the day before or something?

About the mustache. McKenna would never let me get away with that. That is about as much scruff as I can get away with.

McKay~ Good for McKenna!!

Tyler~ Come on now, you haven't been gone that long! Us Californians carve the pumpkins the night before. They begin rotting soon after. Perhaps the snow in Provo keeps them fresh longer.

Lisa~ They went to Denver to see McKenna's brother, sister in law and 2 adorable children. And just coincidentally, McKay's cousin Julie lives just a mile from their house....so they got to see Julie, Nate, and baby Clara, too! I'm hoping the Mcs will send me pictures.

Jill,
We are sending pictures soon! I'm home with the flu today so I will send them as soon as I figure out how. We loved getting to spend time with Julie and her family. Halloween was fun but we can't wait for Thanksgiving!

P.S. I'm not sure why McKay put the studying picture in but the last picture is of us at the Jazz game. My boss gave us two tickets for the pre-season game and we had a blast! I have always been a big Jazz fan!

McKenna~ The flu?! Oh no! That's horrible. I hope it's the short kind.
PS I love the studying picture. I'm glad McKay sent it.

We missed the Mcs so much while they were gone. Pretty sure we were having withdrawals!

Good thing Jake and Katie were there to save us from boredom!

And Jill, I think you are right. It's cold and dry here, so I think that's why the pumpkins can last for so long.

Look what happened last night
