Celebrating The 4th on the 3rd with our grandchildren

(Don't forget, tomorrow is the last day to enter my first ever give away.  Go here if you are interested)

Now on to our party yesterday...

Austin teaching Jacob the ropes of fireworks.

Rachel telling Erin and Brock something really important.

Elora and Katie

Sweet little Rachel

Jonas and Logan
btw, Logan does not have a paunch...it's the way the camera went when he moved his arm
He also is not missing an arm.

Jessica is being reflective.

Kris took this one the day before, but I love it so much I had to include it on this post.
Katie blowing out her candles with Macie and Rachel looking on.

I have to remind myself of what Kris has taught her kids,
""Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened."

It will be hard saying goodbye to Kris, Mike, Jessica, Katie, Jacob, and Rachel tonight.
I think Den is already in mourning.

What a fun time you had. I am glad they were able to come for a visit. Too bad they can't stay longer.
I have always loved that quote. That has helped so much in life.

What GREAT PICTURES! They really capture the festive mood.

Love the quote, "Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened." Think of all the memories you can ruminate over. It really is wise and a great philosophy for life.

All these happy moments make for a satisfying and colorful life. "The joy is in the journey, not the destination."

Great Post.

Love, Dad and Susan

I didn't see Cami in the pictures. Does she not like fireworks? It looks like you guys had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories and that's what counts! It's always a little sad when the company leaves but everybody has the memories!
