Looking back

My sons' Grandpa is not feeling the best these days.
He just had his 87th birthday and while he was able to come to California for the Open House for McKay and McKenna, he had to go back to his home in Arizona.

A few days ago he thanked me for the picture I put on my blog of him and his 4 grandsons back in 1987.
He loved that picture, so I went looking more for him to enjoy.

Here is what I found so far.

Brock and Grandpa back in April of 1979.

Christmas back in the days when we had to keep the tree inside a fence, thanks to baby Tyler.
I think this was 1987.

I remembering catching Grandpa sleeping with baby Tyler.
I've always loved this picture.

The day Grandpa went to school with Logan so he could read a story about his cat.

With Logan and Brock
Disneyland, I think.

Here he is video taping Brock's arrival home from his 2 year mission, in 1998.

My boys at their Dad's grave in 1998, with their grandparents.

Some more recent ones, taken about a year ago.  With his great grandchildren.

These are such sweet pictures of your sons and their grandpa. I can see that each of your boys look a little like their grandpa, but I especially think Logan looks a lot like his grandpa in that first picture. I love the fact that grandkids seem to have such a special relationship with their grandfathers. These pictures are priceless!

I love all of these pictures. So wonderful that you have them. I am sorry Grandpa isn't feeling well. I am sure this will put a smile on his face.

I loved looking at these memories, so I can imagine how much more fun they'll be for Grandpa!

Great pictures. I don't think I've ever seen some of these. Lovely post, Mom.

For the record though...there's no way the one at Dad's gravesite is from 1997. I spent that entire year in Arizona on my mission. Gotta be 1998.

Such a sweet post! I love the one with Logan and Grandpa and the cat. Was it Grandpa's cat or Logan's cat? Also I love the one of baby Tyler sleeping with Grandpa and the one of the twins with Great Grandpa. Such fun pictures you have!

Scrapally - I served in Mesa (mostly), Chandler and Gilbert. I was Spanish Speaking though, so I didn't get to know a lot of the English families.
