Logan's surprise for me

He called last night and asked if he could come over. He said he had something to give me.

I couldn't wait any longer, so I called back and asked if I we could come there.

I should have seen this coming, but I didn't.
We are very impressed Logan! He said he was saving this super duper big zucchini just for me.
Thank you Logie!!!!
And look who was standing right next to himAmy reads to the babies now. The amazing thing is, they are really into this.
The little students
The Smiley Babies
They are chunkin' up.
All that great breast milk.

Their 2 month old checkup was today.
The stats:
Jonas: 11 lbs, 8 oz 22 3/4 inches long
Téa: 10 lbs, 8 oz 22 1/2 inches long

Dennis said he wanted to take the zucchini to work to show his secretaries. So off he went this morning.
btw, Kris came home from the hospital this morning. Her doctor said it was not Swine Flu, but still thinks it is a virus Mike brought home from China, even though he was never sick. She still has a very bad headache but is resting at home.

Jill, Logan brought us one that big last week and we had a grand time showing it off... The wild part was that it tasted amazing! Granted I could feed the whole the neighborhood with it!

Wow that is a big squash. That is funny with Dennis taking it to work. A school here has "zucchini days" the kids bring a squash there are games, dress up etc.
The babies are growing so fast I can't believe how much they have changed. I am so glad Kris os home and feeling better.

That is one big zucchinni!! Logan must be a very good gardener or maybe he just likes to see how big his produce will get. And speaking of big...Jonas and Téa are sure getting bigger and are just so cute!! They look like they are a lot of fun. I never read to my babies that early but I have since learned that it is very important to do that as early as you can. Thanks for the update on Kris. I continue to pray for her and hope she gets feeling well soon. I agree with the above comments...I like your background. I love to see the different backgrounds you have had.

Back again to correct myself. I meant the two comments from Eileen and Lisa about liking your new background from yesterday's comments.

The zucchini was a big hit at the office. A couple of the office staff were more than willing to take it home and cook it. Everyone thought it looked like a club from the Flintstones.

The babies are darling.

The squash is HUGE.

And I hope the virus from China is completely vanquished soon.=)

I like the Flintstone's club!
It seems like just yesterday you had the video up of the 'just planted' garden. Wow! He must really have a green thumb, that's great!

And the babies are gorgeous! What color thumb produces that? I guess that's more from the heart.
Really so beautiful.

So glad to hear that Kris was sent home from the hospital, hope all is on the mend with that situation.

I tried posting last night here but my computer is not cooperating with me lately!
Thanks for all your comments on my blog!
All the best,
Eileen

So, how do you plan to cook that zucchini, Jill? I've had a lot of big ones over the years and never quite knew what to do with those monsters! The skin is a little tougher and the inside is often dryer, with big seeds. If you come up with a fabulous recipe, let me know. I've got a zuchini plant growing right now!

Well so far we are using the big one more as a decoration. I've heard, like you said, they aren't as good to eat. Besides, Logan keeps us well supplied with regular sized zucchini. We like it best sauteed with olive oil and onions and salt and lemon pepper.

I cooked the giant one in a skillet with a very small dab of butter and salt and pepper and it was unbelievably good... it wasn't dry at all... and the skin wasn't tough.. I was shocked!

That is so good to know Erin. Perhaps Logan's extra large zucchini are just better than the norm.

Jill, I was awarded something on my blog and told to pay it forward, and of course thought of you! (I've never even heard of blog awards before, have you?). Come and visit and see what it's all about. It's all new to me, but you may already know about these things.

Look what happened last night

Just a little pre-graduating gathering for our DIL Amy.... Not everyday a Mom of 7 and a Grandma of 7, graduates from college. It was not ...
