Watch McKay teach

As a grad student, McKay teaches math every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at BYU.

As I watch this video I keep asking myself how McKay came out of my body.
Algebra is the only subject I actually had to repeat in summer school. And even then I think I barely passed.

When I showed this video to Elora yesterday (my 7 year old granddaughter) she said,  "His class must have  lots of questions!"

Thank you McKenna for taping this for me!!!!!

I think I can relate better to this cartoon:

Basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication is what I understand. Anything above that is over my head!! I agree with Elora that McKay's class must have lots of questions. This is a good clip of McKay, but the best part was when the students said hi to you :-)) Thanks for sharing.

That is hilarious. Is this something McKenna created? Very CLEVER!

Also...It is so nice how McKay dials in to what's going on with the students. He sure looks all fancy like a professor with the pencil in his ear! What a great demanor he has & the good looks too!

HUH? What was he explaining? I am just a basics girl myself. But I do like statistics. That is great that he gets to teach at BYU. What a dream job.

It's all Greek to me. I'm with Calvin. I barely made it out of algebra!

I love that the song in the background is Oxford Comma. (Which is the comma before "and" in a series. Like: I love books, movies, and Tyler.) A grammatical song for a math class!

I haven't had a math class in over four years. I'm pretty sure I've forgotten everything. Good thing we have McKay in the family to help me out.

Oh yes, if I ever need help with algebra, I know who to call!

McKay is the reason I passed Advanced Math. (Sitting next to boyfriend at the time is the reason I almost didn't. Whoops.) Thanks, McKay!

I didn't get algebra until AFTER I'd earned my Masters degree and then went back to take 3 algebra courses at the community college so I could help my own kids with their math homework in junior high! I get it now, but that kind of logic does NOT come naturally to me!

Calvin, on the other hand, makes perfect sense to me!

I am a math atheist, too, but your son almost makes me a believer!
