A Song Revisited

Two days ago on my birthday Dennis left work 4 1/2 hours early to bring me this:

I opened the card and the song Unchained Melody from the movie Ghost was playing.

And I laughed. Den looked at me puzzled. I had to tell him. This was Bill's favorite song. He was my first husband who passed away in 1996. Bill would play this song so much that our sons would beg him to stop. (well not exactly but you get the picture). One day Brock came home with his Dad and he told me how embarrassed he felt. They had just gone through the Taco Bell drive through with that song blaring for all to hear. Brought the story all back to me when I opened Den's card.

Inside the card was this:

This was to show me that he had ordered me a home testing kit machine for my cholesterol. He's such a man! I should add that he also took me out shopping and bought me a skirt and 3 blouses, and then out to dinner. I don't deserve him but I'm not telling anyone that.

I like the cholesterol check machine. That's an unusual gift but very useful. I've enjoyed reading your blog. I hope this works! Peggy

I'd just like to say that I like that song very much now. Thanks for sharing a little story I have absolutely no recollection of. It's always nice to hear what sticks out in others' minds.

I tried to put that song on this story but we could not figure out how to make it work without throwing off the entire layout, for some unknown reason. Not sure if there is a way to do it. I agree with you Brock, it is a pretty song.
